Sam Mason is a multidisciplinary artist and filmmaker working out of Greenpoint, NY. The child of country music singers, Sam spent his childhood as a touring drummer and later falling back on a day job as a fine gardener before finding his footing in sculpture and stop-motion animation. In recent years he began to explore computer-integrated picture making techniques. Recent work has included an ongoing series of shorts encompassing a world where robots live and thrive as an organic animal kingdom, a 60 second television commercial for Prius, as well other commissioned work for Mazda, Redbull and Coca-Cola. Sam has also created music videos for Willy Mason, Mara Carlyle, and Badly Drawn Boy.

Wild Robot: Part 1
The Wild Robot films are episodical tales which explore an entire animal kingdom of metal creatures. The story is told in a series of vignettes which together form a greater narrative thread. In the first film we were introduced to Wild Robot creatures at an amoebic scale. We looked at the very beginnings of the Wild Robot universe taking place in a metallic primordial soup.
