Daniel Zender is an illustrator, designer, and painter based in Brooklyn, NY. Clients include the New York Times, New Yorker, Tictail, Playboy, Nautilus, Caussette, MIT Technology Review, LA Times, Newsweek, Plansponsor, Donna Moderna, Intelligence Report, Flaunt, Boston Globe, INC. Magazine, The Riverfront Times, Kansas City Pitch, Brown University, UCLA, and many others. His work has been recognized by American Illustration, Society of Illustrators, 3x3, Communication Arts, Creative Quarterly, Graphis, and HOW. In addition to his own work, he art directs the collaborative zine Hydrochloric and is an adjunct professor of art and design at CUNY in New York City. In 2015 he received the MoCCA Award of Excellence for his risograph comic “NOPE”.

Illustration for an op-ed piece about Evangelical Christians moving to third world countries to spread their homophobic rhetoric and raise money for their cause. By traveling to countries that are more susceptible to homophobia, they are able to raise money for their church without fear of being ridiculed by the general population.
