Max Kaplun: CMJ 2013 Music Marathon
Max Kaplun recently completed the the brand identity for CMJ 2013 Music Marathon.
From Max: The challenge was creating visuals that would stand out among the numerous unofficial showcases and parties that happen concurrently. I avoided the common music festival tropes of band lists and illustrated characters, and focused more on the concept of emerging artists. Using a minimal layout, interacting colors and the negative spaces of C-M-J, I hope to evoke the dynamic of surfacing.
